Abstract of the article which begins: Social work education has a deep investment in carcerality and zionism, demonstrated over the past year of discipline and punishment of students for solidarity protests. This article interrogates social work education through the concrete experiences of a student, Darrion Hun, who was deeply involved in Palestine solidarity organizing at the NYU Silver School of Social Work.
This is such an important article as it exposes the utter hypocrisy of social work education. These are the stories about social work that need to be told if we are going to confront the harm universities and schools of social work inflict on so many people. Available now at www.apswjournal.com

New publication based on my experience working within the Australian sexual violence sector... struggling to make sense of the feminist sector's blatant refusal to name colonial violence & condemn genocide.
Big love to my CASA4Palestine comrades... ππ€β€οΈ

Lmao at this open letter to the Unimelb VC proposing she pay for Meanjin with a 10% salary sacrifice that would still leave her better paid than the VC of the University of Cambridge
It was my joy to sign, & I recommend doing so to all in the world of arts & letters

The closure of Meanjin has triggered outrage across Australiaβs literary and academic communities.
The solution is straightforward β transfer the journal to new custodians who can ensure its future.
