Reminded this morning that the first election I was eligible to vote in was 2000. I had moved to Ohio for college (...and a girl) and tried to vote there. I got a provisional ballot, voted for Gore, then got a postcard weeks later that my vote wasn't counted. Disenfranchised from the first vote.

Five years ago, almost to the hour, a friend told me Morgan Ellis had died. It feels like yesterday and it feels like 10 years ago and it also feels impossible. His death affected me profoundly, but I should've let his life affect me more, as I wrote about in this blog post. #RIP

I started trying to explain how to outline a rulebook, but the metaphor ran away from me.

There’s learning curves but once you get into it that can be quicker. Generating the files is more the time sink.
