Adjusting his grip on the hilt of the sword, he points it up towards the sky. Toya tilts his head at Akito. An invitation.

“If you would not mind, could you indulge me a little and spar with me for old times’ sake, dear knight?”

He hums in response as he pulls the sword out from the ground. “I see.” Toya pulls a piece of cloth from his pocket at he starts cleaning off the dirt that had gotten on it.

“Well, since you’re already here…”

He looks up, locking eyes with Akito momentarily.

“Is it safe to assume you’re here because you’re not on active patrol?” He asks, reaching over to grab the handle of his sword.

Toya huffs in amusement. “Well, since we are on the topic of observations, I could feel your gaze since earlier. You should work on being less… noticeable.” He jests, turning to face the knight.

A long-time friend. Probably the closest Toya has apart from the Tenmas. He doesn’t mind his intrusion.

“I should report you for intruding in on a noble’s leisure time… Akito.”

“It’s rude to stare at someone for too long, you know.” He suddenly spoke up, turning around to face a, seemingly, innocent group of trees.

A smile appears on his face as he eyes someone hiding behind the tree line, amusement flickering in his eyes.

He isn’t exactly aware how much time has passed since he started practicing, but from the sweat dripping down his face, he would guess he’s been at it for a while.

Stabbing his sword into the dirt beside him, Toya wipes his face as he catches his breath.

Free from his usual formal garments, he stands in the middle of an open field in the kingdom’s forest. He prefers to keep himself away from the prying eyes of the rest of the Knights. Not that he dislikes them, no. He would rather not get in their way if he practiced in the usual training grounds.

Nobles’ pastimes range from academic lessons to the extracurricular. In Aoyagi Toya’s case, apart from his work as the kingdom’s Beast Keeper, his favorite way to keep himself occupied is to practice his swordsmanship.

His gaze flits over to curious ones, a smile tugging at his lips as he walks over slowly. “You’re not suppose to be here at this time.” He mumbles, his demeanor a bit off. There’s a playful glint in Lord Aoyagi’s eyes as he takes your hand in his.

Curious lamb that has wandered too far.

I suppose it’s time for some… patrolling.

The nights in Rosa are lively when you explore around the towns. Do be careful when wandering out alone beyond what the lights of the kingdom can reach.

He placed a hand on his chest where his heart was. “I promised you back then too. I’ll do everything in my power to find Saki.” The beastkeeper swears, gaze shining with resolve.

With a quick bow, he turns on his heel. “As always, I’ll immediately report any new findings to you.”

There’s an unreadable, passive look on Toya’s face, yet he doesn’t question Tsukasa further. He gives him a nod. “Do take care. I will see you around.”

Before the knight could have the chance to leave though, he speaks up again. “I won’t give up in helping you search for her either.”
