If a company is large enough to source from 11 factories but can't pay workers above the bare minimum, should they be called ethical, or has that term really lost all meaning.

The anti-sweatshop movement recognises strong trade unions and legally binding contracts as the solution to sweatshop labour. But the garment industry's response has been ineffective social audits and codes of conduct that do nothing to support workers' rights.
