Conventional wisdom is when begging for money you dress up, we all do when we go to the bank, but you're right, the panhandlers do quite well in their dress down attire.

Well this certainly goes against the narrative...

Had this happened, Zelensky doesn't make it out of the oval office and Ukraine would have ceased to exist about 45 minutes later. ☹️ Angering this bear just isn't worth the consequences.

US pauses tariffs on Mexico, Canada for a month Trump told reporters on Sunday he planned to speak with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Monday.

Let’s be clear: this fight is far from over.

There are 20,000 Kentuckians working in the bourbon industry who still have to worry about their jobs if the Trump tariffs go into effect next month.

Their livelihoods should never be used as a bargaining chip β€” not now, not ever. bit.ly/4gp6l2k

And let's remember it's the Canadian tariffs that will cost you and I more of our hard earned money, not Trump's.

Close the borders now to anyone other than top quality candidates. Allocate more resources federally to drug enforcement and provincially stop giving it away. Harsher penalties including deportation to anyone caught trafficking/dealing fentanyl to start with.

How much more do you estimate it cost? Did you have to leave anything behind because of a lack of πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ product?

This is much more Trudeau's doing. He wants us divided and also wants us to forget about the position he's put us in. If we had a functional government I am positive this could have been avoided.

1. Haven't dropped any yet, turn them off for a bit once in a while, but mostly I rely on a skill my mother passed on to me, called "Change the Channel".

2. I suppose I might question their desire to alienate the almighty dollars/pounds/yen in the pockets of those on the delisted platforms.

03.02.2025 00:29 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

1. Depends on the brand and on whether or not they engage back.

2. Not at all.

03.02.2025 00:25 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

No I'm not okay with them at all, but I am less okay with the shit show our government is. Ineffective at every level and screwing us at every turn. I believe that the tariffs could have been avoided. This problem and the escalations coming, lie solely at the feet of our government or lack thereof.

02.02.2025 23:53 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Obviously we didn't step up enough. And really how could we, we have no government, at any level. Hopefully it ends with us having a safer country and a happy trading partner. 🀞🀞

1. Fentanyl
2. Just because they have a problem doesn't excuse us.
We were asked to step up on two fronts, who cares why, all we had to do was make the effort. We are getting what our government decided to let us get.

8 kilos seized in Sask a few days ago...had to get here somehow. Just under 5 kilos seized going into the US last year. We need to do better for our own, whether or not there is a tariff.
In 2024 almost 800 immigrants inadmissible due to criminal ties were allowed in anyways... 700 in 2023

I believe the concern with our borders is not so much the one with the US but the ones with the rest of the world. As to what more we could do to vet them, we could actually vet them. What little we do is pathetic.

02.02.2025 22:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No evidence of what? Our borders are little more than a sieve. And the vetting we do on the souls Justin saves is a farce. As for the drugs, how about we just clamp down for the benefit of Canadians? Couldn't help make our own doorstep a safer place.

02.02.2025 21:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Perhaps we secure our borders and stop contributing to the drug problems.

Not sure that 40 million can really turn any screw tight enough to hurt 400 million. We will see though.

🀣🀣. Will we have room in the warehouse beside all the Russian vodkas we've also paid for already and won't sell?

02.02.2025 06:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Absolutely moronic!! As BC taxpayers we've already paid for that liquor...removing it from the shelves only hurts us. Sure stop buying more and maybe they'll notice but not selling product the red states already have their money for does nothing to them 😑😑
