This is how to compromise with a cat, by the way - Squish was spending his mornings on top of my task book so I cleared off half my desk and gave it to him. Compromise! Like how cats take the dog bed and the dog sleeps on the floor!

Aw, Dina, thank you! I have wonky feet (wide and half a size difference between them so I have to buy 2 pairs of sneakers to make up one) so these shoes are, like, my ONLY CHOICE *laughing* which means laces are the only way to make them match my weird, goofy fashion ideas...

Making my own would never have occurred to me, but I stopped using Amazon about a year ago and blue shoelaces? Weirdly difficult to find online or locally. This scrap fabric is the perfect color.
