Happy Halloween! Hope it’s fully of candy !

I’ll post the non microwaved version when I get back from my campaign of planting tulips, happy Halloween everyone !

Of all the things that exists in the heart of Appalachia, weakness is not one of them. For the weak are quickly swallowed up or smothered by trees— fortunately for this conscript forced into service through blackmail, traces of luck still grace the land like slivers of moonlight.

Literally the video that taught me the “core” of how to do this , I use a rectangular brush with with pen tilt as a modification. I have been painting like this for 5 years and I’m still feel like a beginner

Thanks! Part of it comes from me trying not to over extend myself in what I should be learning , but another part of me just doesn’t like psuedo randomness of some brushes — idk the correct amount of noise is complicated and past digital studies have shown me it’s out of scope for what I want

Me too! While I *could* transmute my boy into a whale shark through color compliments , digging through the innards of google to better understand how whale shark heads look, and more kit bashing in photoshop, I think I’d rather just keep this one as dumpling

Thanks! There’s some issues but my swifter was designed to sweep my floors , not be used as an umbrella 🤣 , plus this is more of a work in progress than a final rendition so I’ll fix up the blocks later….

I’ll also be switching back to some more traditional media , I have a great excuse to paint a big “canvas” that’s still in the spirit of Halloween so expect a much slow drip rate than my weretober hell sprint

It was certainly a fun pose to take even if my ass was slipping on the stuff I used to support my legs and side.

A were hippogryph lounging comfortably in an idyllic valley. Why would you need shade from the mountains or trees when he’s got wings this big!

Shout out to them obtuse angles , gotta be my favorite thing I’ve scavenged from geometry class! And like I think it could get even better if I used something like a pen tool to “cut “ out hard edge polygons from the whole piece, but that’s something for me to explore in the future lol

I have one of my block outs added to gnoll to give a glimpse . The goal is to make the whole piece like a jig saw puzzle with the minimal edges/ lines to show form , followed by keeping good enough changes in value. I’m also pulling 80% of the effort from photos of my self , at times in full suit.

Well I think you’re in luck ! I don’t ever do Timelapses since they take up so much space, but I have a botched one for hippogryph.I’d still like to get a full one since it should open the door for more diffusion of ideas. I just need to adjust settings properly so I can send them through email

I hope for every characters I paint to have the same loving qualities as a tempur pedic mattress

And here’s the main block in layer underneath ! I “borrowed” a draft for a quasi commission, played alittle with the forms to make it a different species, and used a yeen friends color palette to make it more gnoll-y. Not my usual pipeline but totally a branch worth exploring.
