I think we agree. No notices = less revenue. Less revenue = less ability to cover the local stories that matter in the rest of the newspaper, including planning and other issues covered by statutory notices.

I doubt many people read statutory notices frankly. But they are an important source of revenue for local newspapers which, hopefully, will continue to report on local issues - including council decisions - if the measure is scrapped.
