After many years of playing and roleplaying on FFXIV I can comfortably say with experience (lots of it) that the roleplay community on there is one of the absolute worst / most toxic and detached I have ever witnessed in an MMO. There are way too many fickle ass ppl who drop you or ghost suddenly.

Nearly every ffxiv rp partner I make dips on me/loses interest suddenly and it is so exhausting... I feel my desire to try hitting an all time low.

The image is an illustration of Erenville, from Final Fantasy XIV. The prompt for day 5 of Erenweek was Hidden Place. I always viewed Erenville as someone who is an incredibly emotionally closed off character. As such, he rarely, if at all, opens up — even to those closest to him. While I think he learns to be better about it in the long run, he still finds solace when on his own.

ffxiv rp community continues to feel like a shell of what it used to be... I long for the old days where actual roleplay happened in balmung's pearl lane that weren't JUST erperperp... like we had plot, story, criminal gangs and groups causing fun chaos. It was a blast and I miss public rp there.
