Funny enough sometimes I don't mind restarting depending on the game. I usually find I play the game better the second time around.

But there are some games where if I don't have a guide, i probably won't pick it up again because I want to do as much as possible i it just in case. Ex: P5R

The only workaround I have found that always 100% worked to finishing games is co-op games.

With MMOs and co-op games, it never seems to happen so long as I am playing it with somebody else. Its one of the reasons why I love gaming with others.

It does annoy me to some degree.

I have finished more games by watching let's play or streamers beat it, before I beat it, even though I was most likely ahead of them before they even got to that point. If you get what I mean lol

Trying to pace yourself so that way, you can enjoy it a little longe took me a while to get use to because if I took too long of a break I would just move on only to rediscover that same thing months to a year later.

That's one of my games in the "finish me" pile... ;3;

i did most of the town related silliness, in act three just need to get back on the main story. Considering i've been there since two months after the game came out... It's been a while and i should restart.

For people who don't have adhd, it's easy to say, "just pick it up and play it"

But that triggers a deep bordem, that causes procrastination and 0 enjoyment. It becomes a job. Then suddenly i find myself playing a completely different game.

I wish I had more control over that stupid mental switch

Yall people dont understand this is why i hardly EVER finish an RPG.

I can be 75% - 90% done with one, and just lose all drive to finish it. There was an RPG where all I had to do was fight thee final boss and I didn't touch the game for a year. I have 5 games like that right now... =!=
