I was really honoured to deliver a response to Professor Reeves lecture yesterday evening (thank you @ark-ni.bsky.social). Yesterday's lecture raises important questions on social inequality and provides key areas of reflection in relation to education and the structure of the system.

We were delighted to welcome Prof @aaronreeves.bsky.social @lsesociology.bsky.social
to deliver our ARK at 25 lecture yesterday.

Prof Reeves discussed findings from his book (co-authored with Prof @samfriedman.bsky.social) Born to Rule: The Making and Remaking of the British Elite.

I look forward to continuing this important work in @ark-ni.bsky.social and ensuring that children’s perspectives are captured on a range of social policy issues in Northern Ireland.

It is a privilege to build upon the work of Dr Katrina Lloyd, the founding Director, who led the survey with such vision and commitment to giving children a voice on the issues that matter to them
