In May 2005, Wienermobiles made their racing debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Unlike tomorrow's race at Indy, the pro drivers got behind the wheel. NASCAR Hall of Famer Kurt Busch beat Greg Biffle to win

April 10, 1984: Bobby Allison, the defending Cup champion, hooked a trailer to the back of an ARCA car and drove that thing around Talladega at 164.338 mph, setting a new record for a trailer. He only made a few laps before a trailer tire blew out.

April 8, 1951: NASCAR raced in California for the first time

Among the drivers was Frank Mundy, who rented a car from a local car rental firm, finished 11th, and returned the car at night so no one would notice the worn tires

It cost $21 to rent, and he won $25, a $4 profit
