Ok, I wrote this with a lot of emotion; not jail for expression, but how is this acceptable. Here’s where the statement “If you allow something, you encourage it” applies.

This statement alone SHOULD (in a just society) be enough to put someone who says that in jail. How beyond cruel. There is no other word other than evil.

I also get to learn about topics ranging from soil and climate science, to bike and commuting concerns, to native plants. I like the authenticity from the people I regularly read from.

While I myself don’t often post, I get to hear from MANY different voices and read (and consider) their perspectives. I’m relatively new on here, but have only come across positive and well-meaning posts from the ones I follow.

But I love the title!

Would anyone be able to ID the smaller insect that seems to be attacking the lightning bug? This little one landed on my arm (so I could help it?)

I removed the smaller insect and the firefly stretched(?) and rested on my watch.

😢 that is not easy. I’m so sorry; that’s super difficult at 12. It’s not easy as an adult either, but now my weird family, friends, and I celebrate our weirdness and cherish our authenticity.

But we have a gas powered zero turn that does the bulk of the mowing. I don’t mow often and I raise the deck high. We’ve got dreams of going lawn free, managing it bit by bit.

I’ve got a large yard and with towering white oaks hickories and loblolly pines, there is a fair bit of stick pick up first, but we’ve got an older one and I honesty LOVE it. The cut is superb and it’s just me powering it! I will use it when the front bit by road get tall - like a touch up.
