My thoughts on the snap benefits being in jeopardy is that a lot of well meaning people have no real idea of what food insecurity is like. People don’t need your leftovers and warm meals right now — they need it in the middle to end of November. And they need more than one meal - money is needed.

I kinda of forgot about Bluesky for awhile because only 5 people repost the same stuff as on other platforms. Not much incentive to get original content or special content or whatever.

Several times today I was convinced nit was Saturday. I am going to take it as a good sign that taking off Thursday induced that feeling. Maybe it will make the long weekend feel like a week. Happy Mitchell Red Cloud Jr Day!

Treasure yesterday.

Wow. I have a senior and a junior now. The latter’s D’s are hanging on by a thread. Just gotta wait until Friday for the final results. Breathe in. Everything that could be done has been done.

Finally — the last day of school and now we wait with bated breath to see if she passes. Tomorrow I can start to recover and rest for the summer. What will I do? Not sure but apparently I should start referring to myself as a “creative,” and double down on writing.

Little free treasure offering today includes free Culver’s ice cream and a piggy bank with exotic coins.

It is the last Friday of school and there are still three more to go. Wtf. Kids are home today because one is sick and the other is sick of school. Actually we all are.

Now for all the rain. In other news, I got my little free treasure library up and it’s already got customers! Someone even put in some mixels- which was cool.

The thing that sucks about lunch being offered at academic functions is that now it is always a taco bar. It’s the cheapest thing that satisfies gluten free, vegetarian, lactose free people. And you gotta be accommodating.

I have a 504 meeting with the school this morning —5 weeks before the end of the semester.

Finally feel better. And there is no good creamer (sweet Italian cream) and I have to drink my coffee with sugar and milk like a commoner. The kid finally got D’s yesterday and realized how impossible it is to learn math without being in the class and there is little chance of that happening.

Being sick makes me crabby. I decided (and did) that anyone who posts that they are cleaning up their list (in this case on FB) and that it is “nothing personal” — gets immediately unfriended by me. You can’t fire me - I quit!

Ugh. Prom is tomorrow and graduation hoopla is next week and I think I got a cold. Wah :( — fingers crossed it’s “allergies.”

Daughter was denied the php program because they didn’t think she would be a good fit (too antisocial). Which makes me think those places are just for neurotypical kids that they know they might have a chance helping. Sigh.

The recluses. I suspect they are going to build up their back deck to provide shade and privacy from nosey neighbors like me.

Okay finally caught up to this — I was expecting much worse. Dude is busy! He has other jobs to do and as for the zombies, that is always the next step in zombie evolution lore. (Tried to write this without spoilers).

Neighbor next door got some lumber delivered so now we are playing “what are they gonna do?”

The office Jasmine is blooming and the smell is incredible.

The vice prez is so toxic he killed the pope. Also always weird when it’s like right after or on Easter. Does this mean the jubilee is not happening?

I have to find a place to hide the teens Easter baskets. I remember when they were little I would just put them on the couch and hide it behind a pillow and it would take them hours to find it.

My newest life hack is a bit of cardamom in my coffee. Delicious.
