Been thinking this morning, about what might be bothering me about my art style is that I can never figure out the right balance between Western and Eastern influences.

There’s elements of both, as it’s always been, but sometimes I feel like I try to lean too hard into the Eastern inspirations.

This is one thing I’m not *entirely* sure of, but it seemed to me that the Monster’s makeup was warmer-toned in the scenes from his perspective, and cooler-toned in the scenes from Victor’s perspective. As if it were reflecting the Monster’s humanness (or lack thereof to Victor’s eyes).

I’m a bit late, but I finally got to watching the Del Toro Frankenstein tonight. (I had originally planned to watch it on Halloween, aha.)

Phenomenal, very much lived up to all the good I had heard, even had me choke up at a couple points.

Ooooo, you should fix that—a lot of fascinating demos in those collections! 🙂‍↕️

I don’t like questions along the lines of “what do you want to do?” or “what do you think?”, either because I see it as selfish to respond or I don’t know how to answer without deferring to someone else.

…Man, even confessing this feels like I’m being selfish, like I need to apologize and stop. 🫠

You know, like I’ll wonder if I seem boring or quiet compared to others in my friend circle, but the issue might be how afraid I can be to say what I think or believe, because I’m afraid of upsetting or disappointing anyone.

Even the prospect of talking about my interests can prompt that fear.

Went for a sunset walk in the cold to reflect a bit, about what I think is one of my biggest flaws as a person.

I have very bad people-pleasing tendencies, and the extent to which I will sit on my hands to avoid doing *anything* that inconveniences others holds me back more than I want to admit.

Yeah, I definitely miss when the league was nationally televised. Depending on where you are, it can be harder to find a spot with the game on.

The season ends here, but the Sounders still finish with a trophy and a CCC spot in the process. Successful season despite the elimination, proud of the boys in Rave Green. 💚💙

And you know what, kudos to Minnesota United—that was a hell of a series without a dull moment! Tooth and nail effort. 🙂‍↕️

However this game ends, you can’t deny it’s been peak playoff soccer in a series that’s been between two excellent teams.
