I mean, the Lego car was slow without the need for "lift and coast", and I don't think it had any power steering either. At this point F1 is just roasting itself.

When I talk to students about public speaking or teaching, I always bring this up: Just tell people when you don't know something! It's remarkably powerful b/c it signals to your audience that you know the boundaries of your expertise and they can trust what you DO talk about.

Knowing Ferrari, they would probably tell Massa: "We're reviewing, we'll get back to you."

On the other hand, Briatore would cynically ignore the time machine.

100% agree. Such language often destroys "life as we know it" (which is another one of those cliches that gets on my nerves).

And Alonso. Twice came close with him, only to dither on strategy. Likewise with the in-season updates when Vettel was in his prime. Not to mention the 2019 engine fiasco.

Thanks Matt for telling us about drivers who came before my time watching F1 and weren't often in the limelight after their careers ended. Each one of them followed their passion, with many making compromises with other aspects of their lives. It's a great legacy, from each of these individuals.

The main reason I am not on X is I know enough about this stuff to know however immune one thinks they are to information ops, propaganda, and algorithmic manipulation it has an impact on the way you see the world. Even when you think you're kicking against it, you're dancing to their tune.
