28.03.2025 15:24 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βInosculationβ β a performance/sculpture from a few years ago. Inosculation is a process where trees fuse, sharing trunks, branches, or roots. As humans who have been torn from the land due to colonialism, capitalism, and hyperindividualism, can we find was to inosculate ourselves back to the land?

Anyway⦠an interactive piece from a few years back. Let us believe, still, in the possibility of flourishing.
06.02.2025 16:02 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0But do so because art is a vocation, because it is a human act, because it is an empathy machine. Not because you feel beholden to the capitalist professionalization of the art world. You are beholden only to your art and your community and to the building of a better world.
06.02.2025 15:47 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But if youβre an artist, just remember, please β your humanity comes before your career, always. If you need time to rest, to organize, to gather facts, to fight, take that time. If creating is what helps you do these things, keep creating!
06.02.2025 15:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is not AT ALL to say that art itself is a distraction. The only things keeping me half functional right now are novels, poetry, paintings, and sculptures. Iβm so grateful for everyone who is able to keep creating, and I hope the images of my older work are helpful for some, as well.
06.02.2025 15:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Honestlyβ¦ I am utterly incapable of making anything right now. Itβs wild that we are currently living in a dictatorship (a provisional and weak one that hopefully can still be challenged by the courts, BUT STILL?!?!), and yet Iβm being encouraged to think about my βcareerβ.

25.01.2025 02:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sculptures are a container for seeing the world. Sometimes literally. These are some views from "sky-viewing tubes": interactive works where the viewer is encouraged to lie down, stick their head into the sculpture, and contemplate patches of sky and trees.
