29.06.2025 21:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Truly the crossover I didn't know I needed

29.06.2025 21:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Unexpected Robert Smith is a treat β€οΈ

05.06.2025 19:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well that was all very positive... π
12.05.2025 08:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It was a really great day! Thanks for having me π
29.04.2025 07:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It feels like she was setting herself up to be a traitor, and now I wonder if she's shot herself in the foot a little bit with that decision...

The first #aurora sighting of 2025 brings with it a glimmer of hope
01.01.2025 21:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A remarkable stat: Heidi Alexanderβs appointment as Transport Secretary means the cabinet is now 100% state-educated for the first time in history.

Rainy weekend writing... my co-author is doing all the heaving thinking, clearly.

A desk, with a bengal cat led across a laptop.
Here's Evie. She loves printers, yelling, and stealing nail files

15.11.2024 14:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I shared this on the hellsite but it's sad news. I remember his lectures during my UG degree at Lancaster (and seeing him smoking his pipe outside the department), and although he was Emeritus Prof when I returned for my MA/PhD he still had a big presence in the dept. He'll be much-missed, I'm sure.
21.08.2024 11:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My mum apologised for the 'boring' birthday present (that I explicitly asked for). I can't wait to read it! β€οΈ
17.02.2024 13:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Seeing the year out cosy at home, with fondue, the cat, and Victoria Wood. Happy New Year!
31.12.2023 20:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This piece (and the comment section) is really interesting: www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Is it better to acknowledge that each instance of something might be the last, or does that stop us from living in the moment?
Ahh I'm sorry, there's not much to say that will make anything better but I know how you feel. Pets bring such a huge amount of joy, and the thought of letting them go is always so hard. Take care β€οΈ
23.10.2023 16:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I downloaded Obsidian when I bought a new macbook, and promptly forgot all about it (classic neurodivergent move...). This has reminded me to explore it properly and see if it can help me get out of my current writing 'funk', so thanks!
23.10.2023 15:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Finally made the switch over from the hellsite... Now the task of finding everyone I followed over there that have also made the move.
