Will their voices be heard, or will @PoliceScotland once again allow men to drown them out. Me in @TheScotsman scotsman.com/news/opinion/c... organisation", whatever that means. And over the last decade many campaigners have come to the reluctant conclusion that the police are not neutral in the battle for women'srights. Today, hundreds of women will gather outside the parliamentto mark 199 days since the Supreme Court ruled that the sex in the 2010 Equality Actis based on biology, not self-ID. The protest has been organised by grassroots group Women Won't Wheesht in response to the Scottish Government and Westminster's delay in implementing the ruling. There are similar protests planned in London and Cardiff. A campaign group, Resisting Transphobia in Edinburgh, has organised a counter protest with a "PA system and chanting". Its supporters are advised to wear masks to hide their identityand urged to bring "megaphones and drums" in a clear intention to drown out women's vnices
These horrible people really thought they could just keep hurling money at court cases until they got their way and then society would rise up to applaud them, reassure them that they had always been correct and then the public would collectively crack down on people they hate.

01.11.2025 09:13 β π 181 π 58 π¬ 1 π 6Akua Reindorf KC @akuareindorf β’ 11h The government has asked the @EHRC to conduct a Regulatory Impact Assessment on the revised Services Code of Practice. This could take up to a year. Meanwhile, the SC judgment in @ForWomenScot is and will continue t.... A spokesman for the EHRC said: "We do not think it necessary for the EHRC to assess the cost to businesses of complying with the law, ahead of our updated services code of practice being laid in parliament. The code is not regulation, nor is it legislation. It is practical guidance to help duty bearers understand what the law requires of them and how they can comply with it. "These obligations are imposed by the Equality Act 2010, not by the guidance we provide on it. The law is in place and duty bearers should be ensuring that they comply with it now. An assessment of costs would therefore support neither the minister's consideration of the updated code nor parliament's scrutiny of it because the impacts such an analysis would identify will be experienced whether or not the code is in place.
Picked this up from a different social media site.
If this is true, and is done correctly, it should take more than a year.
Lots of long grass between then and now.

We are already helping several employees sue employers for enforcing the EHRC Interim Guidance, which *we think* is unlawful. Should the High Court agree, we plan to make available in generic form, for free, and in a usable state, all the legal materials a trans employee needs to sue their employer.
