Happy Friday everybody! Here's my DVD of the week - Threads. An entirely bleak and terrifying dramatisation of a nuclear bomb going off in Sheffield and the grisly aftermath. I probably won't watch it again but we did do an episode about it here!

Here is my DVD of the week! A film that shifts oddly between almost slapstick comedy and deeply unsettling. But when considering it was Wes Craven's response to the sanitisation of war violence, the juxtaposition of brutality and absurdity seem quite true to life.

I find I'm frequently disappointed that something I want to watch isn't on one of the services I already pay for, forcing me to buy/rent/ sub to yet another service. So it's already about lack of access and money for me. But also I have a sweet horror collection!

#NowWatching Jacob's Ladder (1990) for next week's show. Forgot how good (and bleak) it is. It's more Silent Hill than the actual Silent Hill film!
