Yeah, things suck right now. Life definitely did not go as planned. While the divorce wasn't my choice, I get to choose my future and I choose happiness.

I find folks I trust, order a bunch of books, and we all take a stab at reading to make sure they're A. Good B. Well written C. Not any glaring problematic elements. And this is how we ended up with a delightful stack of smut in the breakroom for me and my staff to read!

The hardest parts about stocking indie authors at the store is you never know who is writing just for fun and who is writing as a professional. Now a fun author isn't inherently bad, but they might be less likely to pay for an editor for instance. (Pros aren't guaranteed either) So what do I do?
