The crazy thing about this is that Wyatt broke Iris’s iPad yesterday. I was supposed to pick it up from the repair shop at 10am (the same time the library opened.) I thought the library trip would be quick but we’ve been here for 2 hrs & she still doesn’t want to leave to go get her tablet! Wild!

I took my kids to our small local library today. I feel like it’s more important now than ever to use the resources your community provides and let them know they’re valued. They did a scavenger hunt, played with puzzles, made their own story, then I used my new library card to get us each a book.

A lot of times I try to be proper and water down my thoughts but lately I just feel like shits wild and doesn’t make any sense so I, too, am ready to be wild and nonsensical. But, like, good trouble.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Just woke up from a dream (nightmare?) that I got a 2nd job at Long John Silvers to pay down my credit cards.

A true win!

I never had a #classpet my whole k-12 career. Last year Iris had 2 #turtles, Ben & Jerry. This year, she has a #rabbit. It runs free in the class & the kids take care of it, hold it during the day, clean, etc. Wyatt has 2 turtles in his class named Mac & Chz. Is this the norm? Did you? What was it?

My mom is on a plane to go on a cruise for a week, just with her sister, and I am THRILLED for her. She spends so much time and energy taking care of everyone around her, she deserves every single second of fun and relaxation and experiences ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been making #quiche like mad lately. Fresh made pâte brisée. Filled with a base of eggs, milk cream, and mozzarella. Sautéed spinach, mushroom, garlic, and chive. Topped with thinly sliced potatoes I steeped in cream, butter, garlic and thyme.

Which do you prefer?! My mom got got me one of those knitting loom things for Christmas and it is soooooo slow going just because of the tension and pulling the yarn over! That’s my only experience “knitting”

I can crochet decently well but have never been able to wrap my head around knitting 🙃. Is it because I learned checker first?
