“Are you sure?” She teased, a smile gracing her lips lips once again as she took a step closer to him this time, her gaze remaining focused entirely on him. “I can be the kind of person no one wishes to be around too.”

“I appreciate your kind words. You deserve a good life too Tony.”

“That I’m grateful that you’re alive and that I didn’t give up and give my life to that man.” She confessed, her head tilting slightly as she lifted her gaze. “That I’m really glad that you came back to me, especially after that conversation we had before everything happened.”

“You weren’t the reason that my life was torn apart. It wasn’t you that took my brother from me. I’ll admit, I did blame you at first but I wasn’t in my right mind at that point.” She confessed, her head tilting slightly. “I’m thinking a little more clearly now.”

“Tired of vampires that want nothing more than to finish what a certain one started, yes. Tired of a certain vampire?” She paused, her gaze returning to him as she turned on her heel to face him while removing her jacket. “Definitely not.”

“You were afraid that I wouldn’t have invited you back?” She questioned, her gaze shifting towards him over her shoulder as she took the lead when stepping into her apartment.

“Truthfully? After everything that happened, I wasn’t sure that you were going to come back now the reason you were —

She questioned once she had returned to Tony.

"We can do that. Just let me go and grab my things and we'll head up to my apartment." She offered with a small smile, before reluctantly releasing him completely to head to her office. Retrieving her jacket, she walked back out to where she had left Tony, but before approaching she --

"I can be free tonight. The bar is rather quiet after the Halloween celebrations, I believe that everyone is recovering from the festivities." She confessed with a smile as she withdrew from the hug.

"Did you want to go somewhere else or would you like something to drink?"

Her gaze lifts from where she was refilling a glass at the sound of his voice. She tries, but fails to hide the smile on her lips.
