Do data types need distinction if they are given plenty of room? first screenshot uses a lot of negative space to allow you to tell different things apart.

Acute and chronic viral infections, including Herpes Zoster (Shingles), Hepatitis C, HIV, CMV, influenza, and SARS-CoV-2, are linked with a substantial increased risk of cardiovascular events, from a systematic review. Figure for SARS-CoV-2 below

I'm not cowing to bullies, I'm clarifying facts β€” but your replies wasn't the place to do it and I appreciate you disagree. I think we're aligned on the severity here, but I did a derail. To keep your thread as you intended, I could delete my replies. Let me know if you'd like me to do this :)

I apologise if bumbling into your replies was not the way to do that 🫣

I'm definitely not seeking to minimise the problem, I'm trying to find a way to communicate with doubters in a way that gets them to listen. Right now the covid cautious community is being widely branded as hysterical (unfairly imo but thats another matter). I don't want good info to be disregarded

Yeah you're right on all these points. I guess what I'm trying to say is, we need confirmation. Because these statements are not being taken seriously by people who would prefer to minimise. So as a way to keep credibility on this topic, I've been careful with my language.

Checkbox options that read:
- Debilitating fatigue that is worsened by activity, is not caused by excessive cognitive, physical, emotional or social exertion, and is not significantly relieved by rest.
- Post-exertional malaise after activity in which the worsening of symptoms: is often delayed in onset by hours or days, is disproportionate to the activity, and has a prolonged recovery time that may last hours, day or weeks.
- Unrefreshing sleep and sleep disturbance (or both), which may include: feeling exhausted, feeling flu-like and stiff on waking, broken or shallow sleep, altered sleep pattern or hypersomnia (increased sleepiness affecting performance and function)
- Cognitive difficulties (sometimes described as 'brain fog'), which may include: problems finding words or numbers, difficulty in speaking, slowed responsiveness, short-term memory problems, and difficulty concentrating or multitasking.

Yeah I mean all surveys/measurement tools are imperfect, symptoms fluctuate but then so does perception of symptoms, and mental models for this illness also play into it. Very tough

My payback is really uneven. I can be functional but declining over days or weeks, my functional hours getting fewer and fewer. But I'm never laid out fully. As a consequence, I keep going (life doesn't stop, as we know). So very tough to calculate

29.10.2025 12:36 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Will def take the survey but my instinct is that it won't be a good measure for those in the mild category. Technically I am able to do most things while in a crash, but I shouldn't and I feel like shit. Better measure for those who have already declined

It's a scary statistic but it's not a confirmed statistic. I am extremely concerned about the long term consequences of our lack of infection control but I also don't want us to jump the gun. It's a BIG problem, absolutely. Is it bigger than asthma? Right now we don't know for sure.

29.10.2025 12:16 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Just want to point out that this is not confirmed:

"With almost 6 million US children potentially affected, this is higher than the number of children with asthma, the most common chronic health problem in children."

*Potentially affected*.

In this study, researchers examined blood samples from 59 children with Long COVID and 14 healthy controls.

They found that the rates of microclots were SIGNIFICANTLY higher in the Long COVID patients.

A poster says After Section 28, LGBTQIA+ rights in an age of censorship and backlash

My documentary on Section 28 showed me how censorship works β€” and how it returns in new forms.

So I’m hosting a one-day conference on the rise of anti-rights movements and what we can do.

Listened to Steve Silberman's Neurotribes and. My god. I genuinely had no idea how vile and dehumanising ideas about autistic people were (and still are). Pre-school age children being experimented on with electric shocks. The way we've been doing eugenics all this time. Deeply shocking stuff

I see a specialist who knows all about post covid stuff and is pretty up on research and even he has ZERO interest in engaging with ME. I actually asked him once, "are you not even a little bit interested in this? Surely it's at least making you curious?" LMAO NOPE

Japanese researchers link COVID-19 β€˜brain fog’ to neural receptors A study found that people who reported difficulty returning to daily life after contracting COVID-19 had a higher-than-usual density of a certain receptor.

"AMPA receptors play a key role in transmitting signals between neurons. When overproduced, they can disrupt synaptic function and lead to cognitive impairment β€” a mechanism previously observed in depression and schizophrenia."
