I feel like Joule for ABAP can be more successful simple because there is no alternatives for Eclipse from other companies.

Yes! I have already mentioned that, too in different discussion, but once again I've used Build Code for 3 months = a lot of pain and frustration. Then I tried Cursor and felt that it could read my mind, with no frustration, no random errors, nicely integrated with my dev flow.

Well, it is long philosophical or holy war question I’m not ready to take here - why cant we use JS with jsdocs? I mean - majority of our developments are side by side extensions, and heavy lifting is done by ABAP anyway…

Ok, this is very helpful, but is there info available which LLM currently is behind /ui5 command and Inline Autocomplete?

Well, i felt different… you need to know what each command expects and do, where other Code Assistants understand from natural language.

But then question how you do ABAP, Eclipse is whitelisted, and VSCode is not? 🤔

Yep, you are right. But I still think it would be small to medium companies who don’t fully understand how security works. But yes I see this usecase too

TL;DR - IMO, Build Code is might be useful for small/medium size companies who is running S4 ☁️public with small engineering team, or maybe for rapid prototyping, or small simple extensions…
