Y'all, as a kid who grew up food-insecure, plz don't do this. There is nothing more demoralizing as a little kid than being reminded of your family's poverty. We looked forward to Halloween bc it was the 1 chance to be like every other kid and get access to treats the food banks never gave out.

We aren't getting my car. And we NEED to drive if we don't wanna lose most of our shit (and Allie doesn't have her Real ID and has no means to get it so flying Especially isn't an option). The rental car we'd need to cross the country cost about $700, so our new goal is ironically how much we would've needed to save Allie's car from repo ($1700). Anything helps - we haven't gotten any traction today and we're tired as hell from all this bs

Oh yeah I guess I can update on this lol. I ended up choosing a name and am in the process of legally changing it! We settled on it after our very-soon-to-be wife said “I like the sound of [same name but first and middle name swapped]” and we went YES and realized it felt so right <3

i found a tube of glitter in my jewelry stand and was just reminded of how in middle school (possibly early high school) i threw glitter onto bullies and people i hated and their belongings because glitter is always a bitch to remove. i used to keep the glitter in my pocket. lol
