That in the meantime, you the consumer can absolutely save money in gaming while fighting for what is obviously morally correct. The fight for a cheaper digital version on release is the fight against profit motive. It is a fight in (especially in America) with more fronts than anyone knows. (2/3)

I do want to also be clear, in regard to my last thread, that I understand what most people want is for it to be 20 bucks cheaper digitally ON RELEASE, not some months later or by some hassle of a niche launcher. We should absolutely fight and make noise about that still!! I just mean to say (1/3)

Ask them about their back-catalog! Ask them about emulation, ask them about piracy (which is ethical but in transparency is also illegal--dont do it*). All major publishers but Nintendo are on PC in some capacity and the games they sell on CONSOLE at full price are 100% subsidized in other areas.

Obviously a big part of this is the rise of both emulation awareness (corporate & consumer), as well as the new "handheld pc" market.

But if you've never done any pc gaming, ask a pc player about Steam sales. Epic free games. Amazon Prime free games. Shoot, even Netflix now.

Digital gaming is incredibly cheap in the PC market! The trade-off USED to be that you needed significant starting capital AND knowledge to get into it. But PC gaming can now be done cheaper even from a startup perspective, and information on the topic has never been more accessible.
