I wanted a feed that was just for fans, one where we didn't have to worry about seeing the same old tired "criticisms" from people who probably didn't even give the game a proper try

I'm sad that I can't make something better, but I'll work w/what I have. A simple feed it is!

I'm not a fan of most feed builders b/c it feels like the primary motivation for most feed builders is "look how popular it is" and "how much money can it make you?"

I just wanted a feed to help a tiny fandom find each other without worrying that we'll run into a certain annoying crowd

I just thought that if the tools were available to filter it out, then shouldn't I use the available tools? But the combination of being "total beginner no coding knowledge" and "the more complicated a feed gets the worse it works" is probably another reason for that advice

Thinking about a piece of advice I read in JP tutorials for making feeds on bluesky: "Don't make content moderation lists. Users can and should block trolls and spam in the feed at their own discretion instead of relying on a list to filter unwanted posts out"

Well, I still think if you have a choice between making a good first impression vs. a bad first impression, then yeah, you should go for the good one every time

It's just interesting that for some people, I think they could probably get away w/either b/c they're just THAT charming dammit

that just having ONE conversation w/Roberu is enough to get someone to like him. He's that good! He's so good that even if there might be a bad first impression "debuff," he could still turn it around for the better the majority of the time

I remember watching a stream where Roberu polled his viewers something like: "Do I give people a good first impression or a bad first impression?" And the poll results ended w/about 52%(?) bad first impression

He seemed a bit sad about it, but I honestly think he's such a good conversationalist

It's usually best to make good first impressions, and most people are right to worry about that

But I think one of Axel's strengths is that he doesn't HAVE to make a good first impression. I've seen people change their opinions and kinda just gradually end up liking him. It's interesting!
