Yes, this does feel a little like a letdown but also the expectation was more than a bit unfair of course.

Fed them popcorn earlier that tasted like…popcorn and OMG they’re like this is gross because it doesn’t taste like salt

As I travel the world with small children, I’m learning that so much of what we even call natural food in the US doesn’t taste like real food elsewhere. Therefore my children are like ewwww all the time to foods I know they love.
