It would be an understatement to say I had a lovely time at Judas Priest & Alice Cooper last night 🤘

All of the emotion among the heavy metal community in attendance with multiple Ozzy tributes throughout the evening 💜

Even in spite of the heat (and BOY it was HOT), 2000 Trees once again delivered as the best festival the UK had to offer 🌲💚

Will post more in the coming days, but so many amazing memories made seeing superb bands and artists with some top mates across the four days 🤘

This time tomorrow, I'll be cracking open a can of cider in my favourite festival field with my mates getting ready to watch some amazing bands 🍻😎

The best time had at the biggest ever Iron Maiden UK headline show last night.

A packed out stadium on home turf in East London. The greatest to ever do it shining in their twilight years 🤘

Absolutely feel the same. First listen I really wasn't sure because of how "throw everything at the wall and see if it sticks" it felt.

And then after every spin it grew on me bit by bit until I adored it. Wall-to-wall choruses for days and just earworms front to back.

Rare that I go to Southampton for a gig as will never make the last train home!

Stayed the night to make sure I could see Unto Others play a headline show on the touring cycle for my favourite album of 2024, "Never, Neverland". A special album from a special band 🤘🩷

As a follow-up, popped down the coast this evening to watch the companion film to "NEVER ENOUGH".

Well worth the trip. Highly recommend going to see it if showing in a cinema near you (Vue in the UK). That album filtered through the cinema quality sound system alongside the visuals was a delight 💙

Outbreak London yesterday was an absolutely lovely day with a top crew.

A day of great hardcore music, topped off by a stunning set from Turnstile a week on from the release of "NEVER ENOUGH". A truly special band

The best time had in Prague last weekend seeing Iron Maiden on their 50th Anniversary tour.

If you're off to see any of their shows this summer, you're in for a treat 🤘

Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden. The community that it brings together. The fucking best.

Go see your favourite bands abroad - especially at Stadiums - if you can, because it kicks the ass out of the UK experience AND its a holiday

Same here, and they absolutely are.

As @samdignon.bsky.social put it, even if the music isn't all hardcore, they are absolutely still a hardcore band at heart in their stage presence and how they play those songs.

Also first time seeing or hearing Bodyweb tonight and absolutely blown away by the heft and power they brought on stage.

Definitely a band I'll be keeping an eye on going forward. Lot of traits in the live setting that remind me of a certain band from Pittsburgh that are on hiatus.

I've harped on already about how much I love "Are We All Angels", but live those songs hit the spot just as much.

With the amount of gigs I've been to and have coming up, the biggest of the year has slowly crept up on me. 24 days until I'm in Prague ahead of celebrating 50 years of my favourite band!

There are times when you build up the idea of an album and how good it will be in your mind and it doesn't deliver.

Berlin Day 3: Great afternoon ticking off Ground 165 at Lichtenberg 47, some DDR sightseeing and bar hopping in Friedrichshain with @sussexstratton.bsky.social

Day 2 featured a return visit to the Zoo after 11 years (because Pandas), checking out the new location of the Ramones Museum at 19:77 diner, first taste of German lower league football & Ground #164 at SV Tasmania Berlin and drinking into the early hours with German metalheads at Paul's Metal Ecke

Incredibly glad my trip was timed to match the start of Madball's Rebellion Tour across Europe.

Superb bill, with NYHC's own, Manchester's Guilt Trip and Sydney's finest SPEED the standouts from the night 🤘

Been back in my favourite city for a few days. One of those places where the vibe is one I love.
