A note of hope. A friend in my own Washington State informs me that in District 2—Western Snohomish Cy (No. of Seattle) to the Canadian border—Congressman’s Rick Larsen’s town hall, which typically draws 30 to 50 people, drew 13,000 people. Not a typo, 13,000.

Hi everybody, I here share my resolve to do one small thing per day for democracy, respect, decency, and the rule of law. I am a writer—my job is to write (poems, etc.). So small. Not to take over my life or mental health. Today a small contribution to Abigail Spanberger, for VA governor.

Trump's Day One executive orders:

-Ended recognition of birthright citizenship
-Withdrew from WHO and Paris Climate Accord
-Rescinded Biden's EO to lower Rx costs
-Pardoned Jan 6 rioters
-Renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America

So much for helping working families.

Hello BlueSky friends, Here is a question. Bluesky is a great alternative so far to the Putin-leaning oligarch Musk's misinformation machine. So far so good. But I would also like to leave the Oligarchic sycophant Zuckerberg’s outlet for misinformation. Alternatives? Thanks for thoughts.

My small idea this AM, gotten from Hopium, I think. I will stop calling trump the T word, or, etc. and instead use accurate descriptors every time. Here’s one I got from Simon Rosenberg (Hopium or his quote);
Trump= rapist, fraudster, traitor & felon, diminished, delusional, and disgusting.

My favorite book in many years. Amazing. I am new to this and can’t figure out how to post in the book group. Help!
