5:15 practice at a rink that is an hour away means I have to leave by 2:30 to pick him up from school and leave from there. Then I have to finish work in the evenings to make up for it.

But it’s sooooo far away (wake forest rink is my nemesis)

Is “my mom doesn’t want to take me” a valid reason for a kid to miss practice?
