So I decided to write a bit of a rant about it.

Adelaide United have lost two of their last three games. It's hardly a crisis, but the team's profligacy and defensive resilience in both defeats was notable.

There's chances in this for the Nix if they stay composed on the ball. Sheridan blocked shot a good example. Lost that composure after the goal. Credit to Auckland once again defensively; super compact and they just make every pass difficult.
07.12.2024 04:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Verstraete subbed off. Huge blow for Auckland. Losing their best ball-winner in a game like this is monumental.
07.12.2024 04:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chiefy switching things up today. Seems to be a bit of an asymmetric system. When the ball is on the right side Nix form a back four with the FBs (Sutton/Sheridan) flat and the wingers (Ishige/Payne) really high. Then Nagasawa is higher playing just off Barbarouses.

06.12.2024 22:35 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Not to mention a 100% dribble success rate and 3/5 ground duels won. Clearly has some talent.
03.12.2024 10:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A positive for the Mariners to draw from the loss to Yokohama is Haine Eames. What a cameo from the 16-year-old.
Only lost possession three times with a 95% passing accuracy (wow) and had a few quality touches, coming on when his team was 3-0 down to a top Japanese side.
Not a contest at all unfortunately.
