I have a health condition the #nhs & government pretend doesn't exist. They have no treatment plan for us. No training in clinical guidance. No specialists. No ongoing care once you have a diagnosis. And we die in their hospitals.

I can’t afford it right now, but hopefully if my PIP application is approved (sigh), I will be looking to buy a laptop to see if I can muster some old passion and skill for research and writing. Any recommendations for laptops?

My sick note is three weeks

Could someone advise me on this? I’d lose holiday whilst off sick?

Decided to still go to my NHS consultation next week, listen to this idiot tell me what he thinks and then slam the letter that this specialist has written down on the table and then file a formal complaint. Because how many more people are going to be dismissed?!

Took him three minutes by the way. I was in the room three minutes before he said “yes, you are correct that it’s endometriosis, you’ve just given a fantastic description”

Should NOT have required me to pay out of pocket to have this validated. If I hadn’t, I’d have been dismissed by this NHS consultant who doesn’t think I have endo despite clear imaging evidence, and sent for a diagnostic lap in Swansea that may have done me more harm than good.

He’s also going to have a endometriosis radiographer look at my MRI images next week as he thinks that they’ll have missed some things…

Will need to be referred to Cardiff and require a MDT surgery with a colorectal and endometriosis surgeon which I believe will be him 18 month wait, if the health board don’t refuse me.

A highly successful private consultation in Cardiff with the leading specialist in Wales; diagnosed me from the MRI report and symptom description.

Not only did my MRI show severe endometriosis, but also very evident adenomyosis.

Raging at my NHS gynaecologist.

Expensive month Janurary and Feb, after Christmas, getting married in a couple weeks, and being sick and needing private treatment.

Very much this, and also the fact that the U.S authorities took more effort redacting the faces and names of high-profile people and perpetrators, and not the names and images of the victims.

After taking sometime to digest the letter from gynae consultant, I have booked a very expensive appointment with the only endometriosis specialist in the country so that I’m fully informed rather than going with “these things just happen for no clear reason”.

Yeah, this part super pissed me off!! Guess what the second most common cause of adhesions after pelvic surgery is?? Endo!!! AHHHHH

Letter from my gynae did enrage me last night and I’m still incredibly frustrated, will reread it later when I’m calmer and figure out what to do next.

Because there are no endometriomas or endometrial nodules on the MRI, only adhesions and scarring, which he says “can sometimes just happen” and because my symptoms are “not typical of deep endometriosis”. Said we “could do a lap” but couldn’t guarantee it would help my pain which he says MAY be due
