The gills of a pale beige and white mushroom. Leaf litter covers the ground underneath.
Clitocybe nebularis, the clouded funnel mushroom.
Edible but not without risk. These #mushrooms cause gastric upset for 1 in 5 people, with a variable toxicity that may be related to the substrate they grow on. Best left untouched.

Dark brown gelatinous folds of Witch's Butter Exidia glandulosa on a rotting log
I've waited a lifetime to find Striated Bird's Nest fungus, and this week I've seen it twice! Also a magnificent colony of Coral Slime-mould, a troop of another slime-mould Physarum sp. with a lime-encrusted peridium and a heap of Witch's Butter. At @wildlifebcn.org Old Sulehay NR

More of this #lichen behind the tennis courts. I have started to see this type (Ramalina sp.) hanging out a lot with what I think is a teloschites sp. and i got the fanciful idea that there might be some sort of cross over. I’ll see if I can find a pic and post next to illustrate #FungiFriends

Blue-green Stropharia has a bluish-green cap. The convex cap edges are fringed a white color. The cap size between half and two and half inches in diameter. The stipe is white and measures one to four inches in height and a width of about half an inch (Siegel and Schwarz 2024). Bottom half of stipe is scaled in a crowded fashion.
Have only seen Blue-green Stropharia (Stropharia aeruginosa) one time. Green and blue mushrooms are rare finds in the Pacific Northwest (Trudell and Ammirati 2009). Can be found in forested habitat, grassy areas and gardens of low elevations. So enjoy #ColorADay for #GreenSat.

Molehills in the foreground, with many more deeper into the grassy field. A stone wall runs along the boundary of the field, with farms in the distance. The sky is grey with cloud.
