🔬 Researchers at UC Davis Health and UCLA are leading an IRB-approved pilot study called Gastroschisis and Early Infant Nutrition (GAIN) 👶🍼

The study aims to:
🏥 Decrease hospital stay length
🤱 Increase breastfeeding opportunities
👄 Support earlier development of oral-motor skills

Through the California Umbilical Cord Blood Collection Program, mothers of newborns are able to donate their babies’ umbilical cord blood and have it publicly banked so it is available to anyone for lifesaving transplantations.
