Eilidh MacKenzie always knew she was different. Raised in a quiet Scottish village cradled by hills and lochs, her childhood was shaped by the whispers of her great-grandmother βstories of second sight, banshees crying by the river, and the mist that wasnβt just mist. Most folk rolled their eyes. Eilidh never didβ¦Β

S01 - Episode 08 - Blackdamp by T. J. McLaughlin
Pierce saw a large group of men appear from a bellowing wall of white. Like ghostly figures emerging from beyond the supernatural veil. They were carrying a man on a makeshift stretcher. Pierceβs eyes still were not great, and he thought someone had covered the man in a velvet blanket for warmth, but as the struggling group got closer, he could see that it was no blanket. Blood covered the man from head to toe...

Screeenshot of the linked village homepage. Text reads:
Willerby is a village in the heartland of England.
We're very old - there have been people here for thousands of years.
β
There's an ancient church with even older barrows around it. The churchyard has five-hundred year old graves carved with the surnames of people who still live here.
There's a pub on the river and a village green with a rusting bandstand.
β
It's usually quiet - but strange things happen here.
The supernatural is as normal to us as the weather.
There are many ghosts, we aren't firmly tethered in time and we're visited by folk from very far out places.
We have learned to manage it all. Our stories are about how we do that.
β
We'd like you to read them

S01 - Episode 07 - Roadsong by Glenn Quigley
A jukebox blasted out some Chuck Berry. He knew the tune but not the words. His mother liked Chuck, she had played his music all the time when he was growing up. He couldnβt remember the last time heβd heard it. Or any music, come to think of it. Had they been listening to the radio in the car? He didnβt think so, but hadnβt there been a tune? Perhaps Nina had been humming as she droveβ¦Β
