oh I feel you. I learned how to be more patient going through the motions of it, but it was also far simpler that I expected, if just a bit tedious. I think I'm still looking for ways to keep my lines straight with guides when I'm just a bit tired but pushing through

woahhhhhh~ Braver than me~ I went w/ pintuck panels, but thinking about it, strip panels would allow for hiding bust seams, or rather hiding darts way better. My sleeves collapsed a lot bc of that method ;v;

....we're not going to address the sheer amount of hand-sewing for a project that should've been more machine sewing....

this is mainly due to the fact there's multiple underclothes stuffs that are missing, as well as reinforcements, and petticoats, so honestly, if I really wanted to, the number of additions and alterations mean that she could be re-entered a couple times given the sheer amount of changes...

It's a bunch of nerds playing dress up meeting other nerds playing dress up. If no one is having fun and everyone is being elitist, wtf are we all doing then.

And I don't mean just at con. Cosplay exists in so many forms and not everything is content, especially when you fall in love with one aspect such as prop making, makeup, photography, sewing, wig work and you specialize. It's for fun, not clout, not a beauty contest. GTFO with that shit.

being able to get base pieces has become such a pain in the fucking ASS

Take Kunikida for example. I have been looking at every single premade one I could, both in person and online (bc lets be real there's really only like 2-3 out there) and none of them hit the right shade or the factory teasing-

I love how many options there are for pre-styled/pre-cut stuff, but there's always certain wigs that no matter the maker, it's best to start from scratch bc I am NOT SATISFIED AT ALL with the stock I've seen.

So for basic Isekai Mobs, phenomenal! But others....

Sometimes it's simply a stock issue. The one thing that I love about CosCraft is that they are actively trying to keep a set number of colors in basic styles, and adding products like laced pieces at extremely reasonable prices, which I've only seen from Assist.

Listen. I do NOT want to be playing Tariff-and-Service-Charge Roulette, and it's the primary reason I haven't ordered wigs. I haven't heard many straight answers to my concerns so yah the appeal of a Toku Suit Era until the end of the fat fuck's term is lookin swell

I guess I'm lucky my main sphere of influence/attention tends to be costumes that range from late Victorian to 1940's, or those that take inspiration from those periods. I do love the flashy new things but, Jesus Christ I don't have the skill level here....
