I have finished watching the Netflix docuseries #SeanCombsTheReckoning and my key takeaways are 1) culturally we have tricked people into believing that money is all they need and 2) somebody need to get his sons. Also, you can be a ho and a victim and that was the case for a lot of folks.

It can't be overstated how ubiquitous pop stars were b4 socials and mainstream radio aided the foolishness that unfolded in the pop music industrial complex. This docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is further proof that society looks the other way at sex crimes. #Puffy #Netflix #Diddy #Reckoning

There are so many things to be written about this Sean Combs docuseries, but I need to know how much Netflix and 50 Cent paid to get that footage. Like buying the footage from your own documentary to make a doc against you is water sign energy. We play the long game. #Diddy #50cent #SeanCombs #Puffy

America stares down erasure of Black history and progress In the last year, federal, state and institutional decisions have gutted pillars of America's civil rights protections.

Today is closing day of my play THE WASH in Chicago, inspired by the Atlanta Washerwomen's Strike of 1881. The next play in the trilogy is THE VOTE, about 33 Black men elected to Georgia legislature in 1868. This is an important read, just wish it wasn't teaching AI.

THANK YOU Amanda Haggerty! "This play, in many ways, feels like a love letter.... I rarely get to see a play like this, a true gift to the actors who play the roles, that pushes forward both theater as an art form and our collective human experience." showcago.beehiiv.com/p/casting-ne...

Tracy Morgan's new series CRUTCH on Parsmount+ is definitely similar to Family Reunion and and The Upshaws on Netflix.

Professions no longer eligible for graduate student loans starting in 2026:
- Nursing
- Physician assistants
- Physical therapists
- Audiologists
- Architects
- Accountants
- Educators
- Social workers

The intention may be to remove barriers to entry but this definitely creates one.

#AllsFair on #hulu is a show that truly starts at episode 4. It's like how the first three episodes of #Scandal were boring and then by episode 4 it hooks you. They need to get a more diverse writers room; I can tell who wrote it. The fashion is fantastic though. The views make you fall for LA.

In the last three weeks, I have been to Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York City, and back to Atlanta. The energy in the airports is frenetic, but the people working are amazing. They deserve all the raises and applause. We are all essential workers. #airports #travel #worktravel #flight

God bless all the airport, airline, and FAA workers. Minneapolis airport is a mess. It's looking like Atlanta and they aren't used to that.

All on the line - Chicago Reader Timely and inspiring, The Wash at Perceptions Theatre imagines the lives of five women behind the 1881 Atlanta washerwomen's strike.

The Chicago reviews of THE WASH are in. The Reader says THE WASH "brings the too-little-known story of the 1881 Atlanta washerwomen’s strike to life with wit, warmth, and a refreshing absence of didactic grandstanding." THANK YOU CHICAGO!!!

God bless the Federal employees who are showing up to work to keep their health insurance, but not making actual cash. It's so cruel. I hate that people are experiencing this. Every member of congress should have an opponent for reelection. EVERY MEMBER. EVERY.

Corporations beefing up security b/c they assume poor people are criminals and will rob them when SNAP benefits expire this weekend is truly crazy. Don't pay for security. Buy food. The fact that more than 10% of folks in this country can't afford to eat is horrible. Breaking food supply is criminal

It is astounding to see the resistance-to-capital-B Black to embrace of terms like "illegal aliens" pipeline emerge in traditional journalism outlets right now. On tv and in newspapers, reporters are acting like our industry didn't already address this. The terms are asylum seekers or undocumented.

Playing with this play synopsis: Seven days, 5 nurses, $3 million, 1 crazy scandal. Inspired by headlines and interviews with nurses, "Other Paths to God" by Kelundra Smith is a juicy new play that challenges us to laugh when it isn't funny and reevaluate our relationship with work.

I am on Act Two Scene 5 of a new play. When I started this edit, I was trying to keep the momentum from the first act into the second act. Now, I did it too well and and I can't figure out how to end this play lol. Either way, this draft is due Wednesday. #writingprocess #writingishuman

Mark my words, these dealings with Argentina and Venezuela have to do with the Panama Canal. Someone is trying to get control of Latin American countries since Japan, Italy, and China, which basically run that canal, are not an option. Panama gets like $2 million for every ship that passes through.
