My bird doesn’t use a cage, except when he goes to the sitters. He’s a rescue, and so I don't know his history. He started in a cage with me, but quickly decided he prefers to sleep under the bed! And, he came poop trained. He lets us know when he needs to poop. He’s at good at communicating needs.
