there is a "windows emulator" of sorts called wine, which steam started developing further and calling it proton.
proton is built into steam now.
they did this because the "steam deck" handheld device runs linux.

you can just get a really cheap old used laptop and put linux mint on it to try it.
if all you do on the computer is firefox/chrome, discord, steam... then why are you even using windows?
don't you want an OS where you are allowed to play around with how it looks and feels? where you decide updates?
More urgent than ever to dump Windows for Linux this year, if you’re able (yes not everyone is). My main advice is to start toying around with Linux sooner than later, so you feel more ready when stakes get more dire. I strongly wish I had started years ago, but next best time is now.

i've been using linux mint for almost 20 years now and every time i check in on windows it's worse than ever, and i'm glad i got out after XP.
while linux has just gotten better over time. and my desktop experience is still old school XP-like, because i have the power to choose that.

i'm pretty sure that 40k-models-"modded"-into-a-gacha-game thing going around is ai (basing it's output on both the gacha game and the space marine models i assume).
video compression makes it hard to catch, but this skull emblem is hella unstable in the zoomed in part
follow this with your eyes, maybe pause a few times...
it's hard to tell in the zoomed out parts because the video isn't high quality enough, but in this part you can see it.
i agree, looking carefully at some of the details as they move, like the skull emblem in one of the zoomed in parts...
for most of it it's a bit hard to tell what's compression artifacts and not, but in the zoomed in part it is clearer.

i always thought the useless part of the sprue should be like textured in a way that could be used for kitbashing/terrain. it could have woodgrain or skulls or something.
they already print text on it.
