cats love finding interesting places to drink water, don’t they? A drippy faucet, dish in the sink, or some other spot is much better than a bowl on the floor.

These cup holders are not safe in any context. I can’t believe summer starts in March for you! I can barely take two months of it.

Heated coffee cup holder.

We are lucky here in Seattle. There’s enough preserved land to support small populations of deer, coyotes, beavers (we are known as one of the beaveriest cities in the United States), raccoons and lots of other critters.

Still coming up with a plan. Don’t rush them!

Guest appearance: deer in the UW wetlands park. Also saw one of the resident beavers, but didn’t try to get a pic—it seemed stressed by a dog being walked nearby. Maybe next time.

Tucked in for the night.

Yesterday was a very bad, no-good day. A scary excavator was digging a hole in the neighbor’s backyard, the rain made a scary rattle on the skylight, and there was big scary thunder! Hoping for a better day today.

That pic looks over a stream and then a marsh at the UW horticulture center. In Seattle, we have water coming up from the ground and down from the sky.

Lovely. Mine were not as good, but got some afternoon light falling on the trees while a storm came in from the east.

Scuppers, looking well-composed and sophisticated. Which is not easy for him. (I say no more)

lol. That’s the truth. And to get a sprinter’s start, he’d dig in all 10 claws.

The interesting thing in this pic is the growing wall of cat stuff in the background, threatening to crush us all.
