They are nice kits for demo but you should indeed be careful in the classroom with the lasers. I have opened one up, and it is very DIY.

As @sylvaingigan.bsky.social said, they are for astro outreach & Chinesium ones are horribly unsafe. Ones I have at home have key interlocks that can be unlocked with whatever fits the keyhole and the key can be removed at on position.
