MPs shouldn’t be able to switch parties without a by-election. They are elected by a majority of their constituency, so they need to be elected again if they switch parties or they are not representing the majority of their constituency.

I’m not so sure. It gives Europe a war on two fronts Russia/Ukraine & Europe/USA. Us in Europe would need the help of our allies and Commonwealth, Canada, Aussies and Kiwis to help, but would it be enough? We live in stupid, scary times where mad men have the power.

When people asked me about an EU army I would say not needed as we have NATO. Now the US is actively threatening NATO members. The comparisons between the Nazi rise and domination of Europe to the US current actions is terrifyingly close. They are no longer an ally.

The US having nuclear weapons is now a security threat to the UK and France.
