I haven't seen the Green Eggs and Ham show, outside of a few online clips. I did hear it was really good, and the animation especially looks good! I'll have to check it out in full someday.

I LOVE Horton Hears a Who! My personal favorite Dr. Seuss film adaptation!

Dr. Seuss' famous character, the Cat in the Hat, smiling wide and happily, looking at an unpleased Goldfish from the same book, sticking out of a round fishbowl that the Cat is holding.

Same as the first image, only now everything has a soft shading to make the characters look rounder.

Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday.

Didn't have anything planned or prepared, so I made something quick and simple to contribute to today.

I drew his most famous character, the Cat in the Hat, along with the fish from the same book.

Heh, I still have a soft spot for it.
In fact, it's the prime example I use for how NOT to adapt a children's source material into a film.

To be fair, it is rather memorable, and under certain circumstances, quoteable.

But, yeah, Dr. Seuss would not be pleased with it. Someone's gotta do better.

If you’re part of any creative groups, unions or other organisations in the uk you should be passing news like this along and spreading the world. News like this gets has the chance to be overlooked but if enough organisations kick up a fuss things can change.

Did I do it right?

Well, the live-action film DID have potential. It's just a shame that it's plagued by poorly-disguised adult jokes and an unfocused story.

It is a guilty pleasure of mine, but even I knew it was bad as a kid.

Well, so far, the animated movie isn't winning me over. The style looks so "meh", the jokes aren't that funny, and it looks like it's trying too hard (yet not hard enough) to stand out.

It better have more Seuss-styled imagery, otherwise, I'm not giving it a chance.

I will say that I still don’t quite have the heart to be as passionate to make much art As I usually do. Which explains one of the main reasons why I still haven’t made as much as I should just yet.

I keep having dreams where I'm suddenly back in school for some reason.

And I even recently had a dream where I was all naked outside where people could see me, though it wasn't school related.

And I can't seem to nitpick; I just go with it as it all feels "natural" for some reason.

What's the matter?

Either that jacket is too big for her, or it's in style for neck holes to be that big and open.

I saw some girl at a nearby fair wearing a crop-top with a neck hole TOO large that it slid down her arms, too far off the shoulders.

Basically like this jacket. 😆
