Tongues tip-to-tip, our animal bodies carry what we share electricity of being alive, being together before we pulled the plugs. Drifting apart, we became the other static heart prongs in search of common grounding. Teeth bared, we stripped our own wires- exploding, sparks everywhere burnt us out. Seeking shelter from the fallout, we find familiar faces lips pressed one to another recharge the voltage of desire. Longing amps up. Static Skin in the game, soup in the pot, sizzle in the skillet. Who’s a chicken now? Leave the feathers out of it, a stick-to-your ribs libation, Wassail! me hearties! Oh pirates of poesy, this is my brain, can you hear it crackle? She cackles the way plastic cracks before the emergence.

Vignettes From The Nineties 1. A television drones with venomous spitzing silver-cackle, as the aerial abseils from the chimney. 2. The council usurps from homes plants families into caravans tightly packed as if they were tinned meat. 6 weeks rolls into 18 months novelty into claustrophobia. 3. I am still. Breath hidden, like body in a bleach-choked sarcophagus. I can’t take torment today, my ocean eyes are droughting to grey. 4. Hair dances to electric pulse as jumpers lazily land on the floor. We stare at each other like strangers physics shifts to chemistry shifts to biology.
