These are some ambitious 10-year targets for #primarycare #optometry in England. Scotland - a smaller and more uniform health system - has been at this for 20 years, with decent govt funding committed to optometry at certain points, and still has a way to go. Aim high I guess!

How many people use the report junk option in outlook for the masses of “submit your valuable cataract access study to our chemistry journal” type emails?

Eye health surveys are usually done in geopolitical admin areas. Here, a sampling area was customised to the catchment area of Shroff's high-volume secondary eye hospital in UP, India. Retina screening coverage among diabetics was <10%. DR service strengthening in the works. #OphthoSky #EyeSky

Key motivation for the RAAB survey repository was removing some technical and motivational barriers to data sharing. All open data and reports are now assigned a DOI and usage licence and data owners can be acknowledged correctly. We continue to work to align with FAIR principles. #OphthoSky #EyeSky

I’m probably late to this, but now we all have a nice new distraction on our phones here did you know the iPhone has a screen distance warning? It’s automatically enabled for children under 13 in family groups. Do other devices have this option? Worth flagging to parents I think. #EyeSky #myopia
