I've been working on a new tool, Refine, to make scholars more productive. If you're interested in being among the very first to try the beta, please read on.
Refine leverages the best current AI models to draw your attention to potential errors and clarity issues in research paper drafts.

Good news in the latest inflation report.
The total CPI rose only 0.1% over the month, and 2.4% over the year.
"Core" CPI also rose only 0.1% last month, and is up 2.8% over the year.
Inflation's not back to where we want it, but these data are better than Wall St expected.

There's a lotta concern about the short run (ie recession or not) implications of Trump's agenda. Dani is right to point to the long run as far far more consequential.

I'm looking for recent papers applying mechanism design to AI/ML. I'm most interested in tools from mechanism design that help solve problems in designing and evaluating AI systems. If you think it fits, please share!

People then react to that uncertainty the same way they react to uncertainty in experiments. So the causality DAG is
"complexity"-> uncertainty,
rather than
uncertainty -> "complexity",
as Oprea suggests.

It talks about evaluations, but actually shows that hard to evaluate decisions (many call complexity, but I disagree with that terminology) can lead one to mentally represent a problem as having uncertainty.
