Let's start with this, I have been on Lexapro for 15 years and am now 6 months into a slow taper plan. I have gone from 20 mg to 12.25 mg in that time. I want to go faster, I want to be off this drug, but I have learned by slow is better. I had no idea of the long term effects of this medication.
