Now we've finally got some lovely warm calm Spring days here some garden pics

This is a pretty little title corner of our Huon Valley Tasmania property. I think of it as the Nordic room. It's not part of our actual house, it's right in the garden. Husband has used it as his office. It has a beautiful picture window looking into the garden.

We need electricians inside soon. I won't ask them to mask, they'll likely remove them when out of view. I'll open all windows and have our one air purifier going and we'll go out while they're here.

I'll try gentle exercises and a slow walk. Old pelvic fractures have affected my gait and caused osteo arthritis. I was also born with a weird hereditary foot disorder that hurts.
Chronic pain life can suck but gentle focus on caring for my needs helps. No mountain climbing for me!

Been doing "radical rest" since Wed afternoon to recover from latest baby visit trip to Victoria. My pain has been at 8/10. Hard to walk. Miserable. I'm grateful my husband is off work atm so can do support of our son and me. I've resting in bed, slept lots, finally able to shower today. Tomorrow..

Early next year I'm having RSV vax then during the year fluvax, COVID Vax, Shingles Vax.

2027 I'll have pneumonia Vax, COVID Vax X2, fluvax.

Yes. He's was trying to be empathic, he's a nice man. People just don't understand it's a rational not emotional decision to do what we can to avoid infections within the limits we've personally set.

They were trying to be empathic. I appreciate that he was attempting empathy rather than pity like I get from some people. Some even passive aggressive. Covid wasn't even a worry for me. We've got our processes for travelling down pat and at least covid is pretty low right now here

Was telling someone how our trip to see son&baby was stressful because of my severe pain, other son's health & my sibs were clearing out our deceased parents home in another state. Sis sent me about 60 messages. It was a lot. Person replied "and you've also got your anxiety about the covid thing" 🫩

For godsake just let people eat. Eating is a basic human right! People in America feed your friends, neighbors, strangers. Don't let them go hungry whatever the reasons or their faults.

What about poor people who need a car desperately but can only afford a cheap second hand one?

Fair enough. I don't just people only on that one thing. There are so many many things we can just others on.

We have the most adorable Tasmanian painters here. We call them "the elves". Working hard, enjoying their breaks in our beautiful garden, friendly, sweet, respectful of our covid careful way of living, friends really. Had them here before 😊

Went to Vic for a week and came back to beautiful gorgeous quaint Tasmania (I’m not biased) and literally sighed with relief. Fresh air, quiet, slow, friendly. Even the incessant wind has stopped. Just perfect !

So 99.9 percent of people? I’m as Covid aware and careful as almost anyone but I’ve lived with chronic illness and disability for 40 years so maybe that made me aware of people’s fallibility for a long time. I would be close to noone except one son if I required them to be like me about Covid.
